At the end of the 20th century I found myself working for an international company’s Internet department. It was the Age of the Dot-Com Bubble and webmasters were a mysterious group of people that wielded much power over the web. It was through random chance that I found myself in a seminar one day learning about web hosting and more importantly HTML. And it was there, in 1999 that I started to learn the secrets of building websites. Since then, much has changed from those simple days to today’s more complex and interactive web.
From Freelancer to GCO Studios
My name is Jose Guerra, front end web developer for GCO Studios. I started building websites in 1999 and started my first ecommerce site in May of 2000. Since then I have been building websites from simple brochure sites to complex ecommerce stores. In August of 2008 I decided to provide freelance web design services in southwest London while studying for a geology degree at Kingston University. However, after my graduation in 2010 I decided to take my freelancing to the next level and I established GCO Studios.
Web Design in London
Since then I have worked for various clients and digital agencies primarily providing coding and development skills. I also provide web design in London and the United States. I work directly with clients providing a direct line of communications, training when required and hosting if needed. A few of my skill sets are listed below including some of the technologies I have worked with. I also have experience with SEO and online marketing. I don’t claim to be a guru, but I can help increase your website traffic and evaluate your existing website for further optimisation.

Before I became a freelance web designer
I have a strong a background in management, IT, electronics and the sciences with a degree in geology. I have served in the military and I love to travel. When I have time I like to read a good book and if I can find a worthy opponent, play a game a chess. In the mean time, I try my best to find time to practice Tai Chi.
